The whole motorcycle assembly line adopts righting robot, suspended conveying and assembly plate-type automatic track-connecting device and the online testing device made in Japan . The company has first-rate laser forming machine, chassis dynamometer, combustion analyzer, noise test analyzer, online testing and other development and testing facilities. The company has an annual designed productive capacity of 1 million motorcycles and 300,000 electrical bicycles. In 2002, Jiangsu Chunlan Motorcycle Co., Ltd. invested nearly RMB 20 million to set up Ni-MH power battery production line. This technology is the result of Chunlan Research Institute after more than six years' R & D and experiment efforts. The production line is equipped with domestically leading paste coating machine, processing, assembly and formation testing equipment. The annual productive capacity reaches up to 80,000 sets of 25Ah Ni-MH battery modules.
Currently, the company has a total headcount of nearly 500 employees, among whom engineering technicians account for 15%. The company has industrial design office, motorcycle structure design office and electrical bicycle structure design office. By relying on the hierarchical R & D system comprising of Chunlan Research Institute, Industry Company Research Institute and the technical departments of factory, the company realizes the sequencing and standardization of products from design, development, test and production. The company has always highlighted product development, insisted on the path of medium and high grades and constantly adjusted product mix, forming the six series and more than 10 types of Chunlan brand two-wheel motorcycles (including CL100 (Deer), CL100T(Shark), CL125(Leopard), CL125(Tiger), CL125T(Seal) and CL250(Tiger God)), various series of electrical bicycles (including "Shenxing", "Dazzling Color",""Small Dazzling Color" and "Small Flying Tiger"), high-energy batteries and other products.
To ensure the stability of product quality, the company set up the perfect quality assurance system and in August 2003, took the lead in passing the ISO9001:2000 quality system certification organized by China Quality Certification Center (CQC) in the industry. The Company took the lead in passing the national motorcycle production access. Its motorcycle series first obtained the "3C " certificate and all of them complied with the state's new discharge standards and requirements. In the sampling survey of nationwide consumers, the products won three firsts in terms of “Ideal Brand”, "Quality Satisfactory Brand" and "Top Priority Brand of Buying". Chunlan motorcycles ranked the first in terms of quality in the motorcycle industry in the testing organized by the State Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision in 1997. Chunlan brand series motorcycles and electrical bicycles took the lead in passing German TUV, CE and other certifications. Now, the products are exported to more than 60 countries and regions, such as Netherlands , Germany , France , Greece , U.K. , U.S.A. , South Africa and Middle East . The products of the company have won the honorary titles of "Jiangsu Province Famous Brand Product", "Jiangsu Province Excellent New Product Gold Cow Prize", "Jiangsu Province Prize for Progress in Science and Technology", "Commodity Recommended by Jiangsu Province Consumers' Association", etc many times.
